Every job is individually priced, and there is a $500 minimum labor charge for each on-site painting project (commissioned artwork that is completed in the studio has no minimum charge). Compensations to the square footage price are made for larger projects, and additional labor fees may apply for certain types of areas (ceilings, two-story walls, hard to reach areas, etc.) Initial consultations are always free unless extensive travel is required. Have a particular budget in mind? No problem! Linette can come up with designs to fit in your budget. As always, the best way to get your project quoted is to contact Linette for your consultation.
Every mural is customized for each individual client and hand-painted directly onto the wall. Multiple phases of sketches are agreed upon before the actual painting begins.
Medium detail murals: $10 to $25 a square foot
High detail murals: $15 to $50 a square foot
Here is a helpful guide as to how Linette figures pricing:
Decorative painting refers to painted accents, letters, designs, or patterns around the home or on furniture, wooden letters, etc. Because decorative painting is such a diverse category, it has a very broad pricing range. Every decorative painting is applied directly onto the wall or object at hand, and is completely customized.
Medium detail decorative painting: $10 to $25 a square foot. See the above table.
High detail decorative painting: $15 to $50 a square foot. See the above table.
Stencils for all over patterns: $4 to $5 a square foot, depending on the size of the stencil and the contrast in colors.
Most non-texture faux finishes using just paints and glazes run $3 to $5 a square foot. Faux marble starts at $5 a square foot, and faux brick and stone finishes start at $10 per square foot. Textured faux finishes using papers, plasters, and glass beads start at $5 a square foot, though most are in the $5 to $7 price range.
All faux finish prices include a base coat and up to three sample boards for you to see the final product before it goes onto your wall. Faux finishes usually require multiple passes of hand-applied techniques, and every finish is customized for the client and is applied directly onto the wall.
Commissioned artwork are pieces that are not painted directly onto a wall, but rather on canvas, board, or other paintable surfaces.
Pet portraits carry an additional fee of $100 per face. Linette does not typically do portraits of people as that is not her specialty.
Geometric designs consist of stripes, color-blocking, harlequins, gingham, etc. These are great painted around an entire room, as a border, or on an accent wall. Every design is customized for the space and is painted directly onto the wall.
A few of my most popular designs:
Stripes usually range from $2 to $3 a square foot.
Color-blocking usually ranges from $3 to $4 a square foot.
Harlequins mostly range from $4 to $5 a square foot.
Interior painting is the fastest and most effective way to give a room a makeover. If desired, minor surface repairs such as filling nail holes, cracks, and caulking can be done prior to painting.
Lettering and signage refer to such things as a company’s logo painted on a wall, a sign painted in front of a business, a hand-painted quote, etc.
Medium detail commercial painting: $10 to $25 a square foot
High detail commercial painting: $15 to $50 a square foot
