Studio Information:

What does Linette’s art & design studio have to offer? Linette’s studio is a great place to meet to discuss commissions, buy art and more! She has one wall of her studio entirely dedicated to faux finish sample boards; these larger samples are the best way to see her many techniques because they are larger than her portable portfolio. Linette has an art gallery in her studio as well; all of her available paintings that are for sale are constantly on display unless they are being displayed in a gallery show, exhibit, etc. Because of all these great benefits, Linette strongly suggests a visit to the studio if you are considering getting some work done or purchasing a piece of art.

When is Linette’s studio open? The studio is open by appointment only.

How do I get to Linette’s studio? Linette’s studio is located in 201 Studios, an amazing old warehouse turned into a variety of artist studios, workspaces and small businesses. Located in up and coming area of Twin Aire, just southeast of downtown Indianapolis Parking is available on the street or in the private parking lot across the street.

201 S Rural Street, Suite 107, Indianapolis, IN 46201

General Information:

Does Linette do all of the work herself? Yes, though Linette does have a helper that assists with basic tasks. Linette chooses to keep her business small not only because she loves what she does, but also because she knows that her clients want the very best; they choose her over her competitors time and time again because with her they know exactly what they are getting and who they will be working with. From the consultation to the sketches to the sample boards to the finished product, you will be working with Linette one on one.

How does Linette’s referral program work? Linette owes all of her success to her many satisfied clients. To show her appreciation, if you give her a successful referral, Linette will offer you your choice of $100 off your next painting job, 20% off a painting she has for sale, or a $50 VISA gift card to use as you wish. $500 minimum still applies for on-site painting projects.

Does Linette carry insurance? Yes. Linette carries her own liability and property damage insurance.

Does Linette travel? Linette is willing to travel anywhere someone is in need of her services. For trips that require Linette to drive more than 75 miles one way from her southside Indianapolis home, a fuel charge will be assessed, based on the actual mileage of the trip. In addition, if the project takes more than one day for Linette to complete, lodging may be required and Linette will include this additional cost in her estimate. If air travel and lodging are required for your job, Linette will again include this additional cost in to her estimate.

The following map shows the approximate 75 mile range, referred to above, in blue. (Use zip code 46217 if you want to find out how much your mileage will be) Anything outside of the blue area may require a fuel charge and/or lodging. Some of the major cities that are within Linette’s 75 miles radius include Indianapolis, Columbus, Bloomington, Greenwood, New Palestine, Avon, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville, Anderson, Crawfordsville and many more.

What type of surfaces can be painted on besides walls? Murals, or any of Linette’s painting services can be applied on almost any surface, inside and outside. There are so many different types of primers out there that virtually any surface can be painted nowadays, like tile, wood, formica, brick, linoleum, and more! If desired, Linette can also varnish anything she paints to add an extra layer of protection from the elements.

Do any of Linette’s artistic services add value to my home? They most absolutely do! Linette’s work is very highly desired, and to a potential home buyer, having such a beautiful mural, faux finish, etc. already in place is nothing but a plus.

Hiring Information:

What is the process for hiring Linette for one of her painting services? Once you contact Linette, together you will set up your free initial consultation at the location where you would like the work to be done. For faux painting and murals, Linette suggests all potential clients visit her studio at some point so you may see either her large faux finish sample boards or her painting style via her in-studio murals. After the on-site meeting, Linette will send you her estimate for the job. If you decide to move forward with hiring Linette, a $200* non-refundable deposit is due for each area/project, which allows Linette to move forward with the design process, such as sketches and sample boards. It also allows Linette to book your project into her calendar, and it is credited towards the final payment due upon completion of the project.

For murals, decorative painting, geometric designs, and commercial designs: After the initial $200 deposit is made, Linette will begin work on some sample sketches based upon what was discussed during the initial consultation. After a direction is chosen based upon the preliminary sketches, more detailed sketches and/or a final sketch will be drawn up. Once she gets your approval of this final sketch, she will draw up a contract. When the contract is signed, a 20% non-refundable deposit of the remaining balance is due. The final payment is due the day the job is completed.

For faux painting: Once the initial $200* deposit is made, a second consultation appointment will be scheduled where Linette will present up to three (3) sample boards for each area/project of different faux finishes for you to choose from. Once Linette gets your approval of a final sample board, she will draw up a contract. When the contract is signed, a 20% non-refundable deposit of the remaining balance is due. The final payment is due the day the job is completed. *The initial deposit for faux painting may be higher than $200 for each area/project in certain circumstances, such as if the supplies necessary for creating the faux sample boards are greater than $200, or if client requests an unusually high amount of samples be done.

What is the process for hiring Linette to do a commissioned piece of art? The process is just slightly different than that listed above. The initial consultation is still free, but is usually done in Linette’s studio or through email. All Linette needs to have or know to give you an estimate is a picture or description of the desired subject matter, the size you would like the painting to be, the type of material you would like the painting to be on (usually canvas or board) and the desired colors and style of the painting. After learning this, Linette will send you her estimate for the job . If you decide to move forward with hiring Linette, a $200 non-refundable deposit is due, which holds your reservation for the painting and allows Linette to move forward with sketches. This deposit will be credited towards your final payment. After this deposit is made and a direction is decided on based upon the preliminary sketches, Linette will begin working on the final colored sketch. Once she gets your approval of this final sketch, she will draw up a contract. When the contract is signed, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the remaining balance is due. The final payment is due when the painting is received by the client.

How soon should I contact Linette before I would like the painting to be done? Linette normally has a month long waiting list, though sometimes the wait can be longer or shorter. If your project is small or there is a cancellation or postponement, Linette may be able to work your project sooner. But to be safe, Linette strongly suggests that you contact her at least two months before you’d like the project to be completed.
